Photography Competition Theme: Our History and Culture

Our 2018 Photography Competition theme has been announced!

We invite all amateur photographers, school groups and clubs to take part in our annual Eden Whale Festival Photography Competition and Exhibition.

Eden’s History and Culture is the theme of this year’s competition. It is a wonderfully diverse theme that will help to showcase our equally diverse history and culture.

Eden is a place of stories and we want to see those stories told through the lens of your camera.

Our history and culture are not limited to the people of Eden or our heritage sites; our industry, natural surrounds, pain, failures, successes and compassion all help to create the Eden we know and love.

A sub theme of Show us Your Whales will also be part of the competition as no whale festival is complete without the stars of the show on display!

There will be 3 categories for this year’s competition and prizes awarded in all categories.

Categories are as follows:

Adult Open
Youth (13-18 years)
Junior (12 & under)

Thanks to our generous sponsors, the Eden Lioness Club and Harvey Norman – Tura Beach, there is $600 in prizes to be given away.

An additional prize of tuition with professional photographer Phil Small will also be given away to one lucky photographer.

Entry conditions and prize amounts are found in the Photography Competition Entry Form  found on our forms page.

Our exhibition venue is still to be confirmed but we will soon provide an update.

We can’t wait to see your beautiful images highlighting the vibrant history and culture of Eden!
