When you turn on a light switch in Eden, think of John Ronaldson Logan, the local entrepreneur who established the town’s first public electricity plant a century ago.  By some he is also considered the father of the Snowy Hydro-Electric Scheme, so passionate in the scheme and its potential for Eden and the district, he expended a great deal of personal time and finances planning and campaigning the merits of the project.

J R Logan: Community and Nation commemorates the contribution of this visionary man who served his country both formally during the First World War, and voluntarily upon his return.  The exhibition also reflects on his determination and fervour to build the community’s infrastructure, and expand the town’s opportunities through utilising its natural wealth.
