Sunday is all about exploring Eden’s most special places at your own pace, and keeping an eye out for whales at all times!
The Discover Eden Shuttle Bus will be touring the township with local guides on board. You can hop on and off as you please.
Stops include shore-based whale watching, visits to our historical sites and maritime walk, exhibitions, Mary MacKillop Hall, Eden Killer Whale Museum and Snug Cove, where you can dine on fresh seafood and take a whale watching charter (but book early!)
It’s a great way to experience the town’s beautiful natural and cultural landscape, as well as the retail centre, so leave the driving to someone else and get to know a few of the locals as you take your time exploring.
Bookings can be made at Eden Visitor Information Centre on (02) 6496 1953 as spaces are limited.
Grab a picnic and take the Killer Whale Trail. Discover how wild killer whales worked with Aboriginal and European Whalers for generations. This half-day self-guided tour includes five stops in Eden and Ben Boyd National Park, and most are great for whale watching. Brochures are available at the Eden Killer Whale Museum, Eden Visitor Information Centre, on-board the shuttle bus or click the link above.
Further south, Green Cape Light House also offers spectacular shore-based whale watching on Australia’s second most eastern point. The historical maritime precinct is located 40 minutes drive south of Eden on a clearly signposted sealed and unsealed road.
